Excellent products and service! We wanted a handmade look for our tile entry floors in a 1920 reproduction house. We especially appreciate their hands on approach in picking materials and they worked well with our designer to develop a custom pattern. It was also interesting to see where the tiles are made and meet the makers. A good value for this handmade quality. Highly recommend & would use again for tile needs.

I should have reviewed Clay Squared to Infinity once our project was completed, because I’m so pleased with how it all turned out. We’ve been enjoying our remodeled space since Spring 2023, and a large part of that is our fireplace focal-point. The tiles CS2I made for us enhance the custom mantel, suit the entire project, and complement the style of our original house, though they are in an addition that was added in 1990. We’ve gotten loads of compliments on the tiles, and on how this centerpiece transformed our utilitarian space into one that belongs with the rest of the house. Louise and ClaySquared were terrific design partners.

We had an incredible experience with Clay Squared and highly recommend their services and product. We were looking for a fireplace surround that would blend with our 150 year old original tiled hearth. We knew that we would never get an exact match, but wanted a design and color that would coordinate with the existing tile. They came up with a design that pulled from the nearby stained glass windows for the custom pieces and a color that looks really good together in person (the picture doesn’t look as good as it does in person). They provided great tips and instructions for self installation and were great to work with overall. Again, we highly recommend.

I had an amazing experience with Clay Squared for my kitchen and mudroom tile projects! I worked closely with Louise and Josh throughout as using handmade tile in my home design was new to me. They encouraged me to develop some unique tile design patterns using both new and seconds tiles. The quality of their handmade tiles and beautiful, earthy colors that mimic those in nature surrounding my arts and crafts home, are wonderful. They also hand-stamped some of the tiles with my favorite motifs from my travels and native culture. I enjoy looking at them everyday and regularly receive excited feedback from friends and family!

We absolutely love our kitchen backsplash tile from Clay Squared. They are truly artists and create beautiful, one of a kind, handcrafted tiles. Josh and his staff were incredibly helpful, and spent time with us in their studio showing us options and making suggestions. We are already dreaming up our next project to showcase their artistry!

Hexagonal tile delivered on spec, on time and on budget. Installed by Hohn & Hohn of Saint Paul in the front entry of our 1885 home in Cathedral Hill, Saint Paul. We plan to use Clay Squared again, based on this, our first experience with them.

The glaze on the tile we ordered was a great vintage green color that we couldn’t find anywhere else. Very pleased with the color! Lots of options for sizes. The customer service reached out for special order instructions and the tile came quickly for being handmade. The tiles cut well on the wet saw and didn’t break easily. The only reason I wouldn’t give 5 stars is there was 1/8”- 1/4” variation in length and bowing of many of the tiles. If you want a standard stack subway with no spacers, this is not the tile for you as we had to use spacers to conceal inconsistencies among the tiles.
