I was invited to attend the opening of Pinko’s new store on Regent Street. The event was crowded, and although I wanted to support the evening, I decided not to stay for the catwalk and drinks.

I saw a skirt I liked and decided to buy it. There were several assistants, possibly temporary, who seemed a bit undertrained regarding product details. They kept on saying, it is real Italian, real leather, really good.

When I got home, I realized the skirt was a bit too short for me. I decided to return it, only to find out that they have a strict NO REFUND policy. I wish they had informed me of this at the time of purchase. I wouldn't have rushed myself so much and try on few other things or come an other day. I guess this is not the first thing you tell to your customer on your opening evening. I am sure something was written with small letters near the till but i didn't see it.

The sales assistants were polite, but there was an unsettling atmosphere in the store when this strict looking lady came upstairs. She hovered around while the other staff seemed uncomfortable.
I was surprised to see no mention of their no-refund policy in the reviews; especially from online shoppers. I didn’t even realize that was allowed in the UK, though it appears to be an option. I ended up exchanging it with something else + i had to pay more.

I don’t think I’ll be returning to Pinko. While some styles are nice, most don’t appeal to me, and the sizing is inconsistent—some trousers fit me in size S, while others require an M or larger. Certainly not ideal for online shoppers with this consumer policy.

The most amazing customer service I’ve experienced! You don’t at all feel like just another customer under the care of Vanessa and her team. She helped me from choosing items to going out of her way to organise the changing room in a convenient way as she saw that I was injured and went above and beyond to coordinate exchange of items with another store which given the circumstances was not an easy task. Thank you so much! I’m so grateful!

The guy who works in this shop is very rude and has no manners whatsoever. We have reported this to Pinko headquarters. Maybe he should try another career path, retail is clearly not his best skill unless he has none.
