Hy-Vee Grocery Store - Maplewood, Minnesota

I usually like shopping at Hy-Vee because they have a good selection of products, and the store is fairly clean. However, my experience last Saturday (1/25) was disappointing. There are no self-checkout lanes available, and only two cashiers were working during a busy time. To make matters worse, one of the cashiers was clearly sick, though I didn’t realize it until he was already scanning my items—including a lot of produce. Now I’m sick too. Really frustrated by the lack of precautions and staffing issues. Hoping they take better care of their employees and customers moving forward.

Went to the liquor store at 9:54 on 1/29 to grab a bottle of wine. Posted hours were closing at 10pm yet employees refused to let me in. Manager check out the cameras. We drove more than a few miles to get there. Pretty ridiculous how lazy the liquor store workers are. Willing to change the 1 star rating if compensated for my time.. the balls in your court Hyvee.

Hyvee is a nice place to go when you get tired of Cub Foods, Target, Walmart. It's a little breath of fresh air. Has pretty much everything those other stores have and a little more.

They also have a good variety of fresh food places you can eat, from Asian to American food. It's a nice selection hot and ready to go like a mini food court.

They have a wine and spirits and gas station as well but they are not connected to the store but within the same area. Fun to browse.

Market Fried Chicken was overcooked, dry and bland, tasted old oil. 5 star on the store, I always shop here, but I will never buy that Chicken again. I rewrote this post because my post I wrote yesterday disappeared.

This is such a cool grocery store. There is a little of variety and unique products, and when there are sales, they are quite good. It also has a neat restaurant area with pizza, Asian cuisine, deli, and fried food area. A great place to grab something to eat. The people who run the meat counter and dessert area have always been super friendly and helpful

A very nice and clean grocery store. The store is very well organized, clean and most of the items are very easily attainable. There is a good amount of space inside so you don't need to squeeze through the aisles. Every food looked fresh. Which is great. Prices are quite competitive compared to other local grocery stores as well. The food stations there look incredibly delicious. The sushi we bought there is definitely not high tier quality so don't expect the sushi to be 'the best' sushi you've had. If you have had 'the best' sushi here, please get better recommendations else where. But, for a quick grab, the sushi was okay. Parking was great. We thought it was going to be super busy but it was actually quite good. The gas station is super convenient as well. Overall, a great grocery store!

I usually shop here allot because I work very close to the location. Today i went in to shop and was not greeted with the customer service that I usually receive. The cashier was kinda rude even put my receipt down in the counter and slid it to me while i watched her hand others their receipt and cash in hand and act friendlier. I did not like the feeling that was received during this shopping day.

Just a warning to be careful next time when you employees put milk on the racks. Today I was in the milk section, and a half milk just dropped on my head when I was putting something back. I'm fine and because I didn't want to make it more bigger than it was I didn't complain with noone but that employee got lucky that I didn't have my kid today. Just imagine what would've happened if it was to an elderly, a kid or even someone with a baby in arms.
