I am SO SO SO happy with the results of our kitchen -- the results speak for themselves as you can see it turned out beautifully. The tiles are so high quality and so uniquely handmade looking. Overall my experience could not have been better. I highly recommend -- the whole process was quick, easy, and convenient to order online -- super fast shipping and it could not have been easier. We chose them because they are a smaller, local business with an emphasis on sustainability and supporting artisans' incredible work through their authentic, handmade materials.

We chose the Meadow 2"x6" tiles and paired it with some darker elements along with some natural wood tones to really balance everything out. I did the installation myself and it was a huge success, the tiles were easy to install and work with. Luckily I only had to make a few cuts around the outlets and some edge pieces which made this install pretty straightforward. We used Pewter grout, which paired super nicely with the tile color.

Overall - could not recommend Clay Imports enough!! WE LOVE and are so so pleased!

My wife and I have been doing our own home renovations for a couple years and searched long and hard for the perfect tile. We were thrilled when we came across the thin glazed brick from Clay Imports and loved their Blue Lagoon tile. We initially had just planned to use it for our walk in shower wall but ended up loving it so much we also chose to do our entire kitchen backsplash with the same tile. The thin glazed brick is wonderfully imperfect and varied in a way that gives our walls delightfully vibrant character. We couldn't be happier!

Update: The company reached out and has been very lovely to work with. They sent me a tile repair kit (for free) and a gift card. The repair kit was a little tricky and took a bit of work to get right, but it really fixed everything up nicely! We will probably only need to replace one tile now. After the repairs cure I will do a light sanding, reseal, and then apply the polish top coat I got with the gift card.

We installed the smooth gloss hexagon terracotta tiles in our kitchen about a year ago. The purchase and shipping was easy and the tiles were beautiful. Unfortunately, they have chipped with an excessive amount of lime pops. I understand there would be some, but it's just absurd and some are HUGE. We were very careful to select the best looking tiles to install and had a professional install them according to their directions.

We walk around on them in our slippers and bare feet, not roller skating on them, but you would think we were doing the latter!

I emailed the company and they just said lime pops are a natural part of terracotta. There was clearly a quality control issue with tile we got but unfortunately I guess we're stuck with them. We've tried filling some in with mortar but more keep coming. Also, the type of mortar recommended turned out to be inappropriate to use for terracotta tiles, per the mortar manufacturer (it dried with a mottled appearance). I'm so, so disappointed.

The tile quality is excellent for amazing prices. I was so excited to support a small business that works with artisan craftspeople as well as get beautiful, sustainable tile for my new build house. Customer service was top notch, very quick to respond and adjusted my quote a dozen+ times as I made adjustments to tile types and amounts. Could not recommend a better tile place.
