I was served by Tamarie today who was absolutely amazing. She had great knowledge of makeup and my skin tone. Not alot of people can work with Asian/ Caramel complexion with hyperpigmentation. Tamarie knew exactly what shade to use and she also knew what complimented my skin. I was so impressed by the final look. I ended spending more than expected but was definitely worth it.

The staff in this store were so friendly and always smiling and very helpful. I will definitely be going back here again!

I had a makeover at Spitalfields branch at 1pm today that I booked two weeks ago.

I’ve been to Nars Covent Garden branch numerous times and have in the past left two fab reviews as the staff there have always been amazing and do a fab job with their makeovers!

Sadly, I can’t say the same for my visit today. Unfortunately I don’t know the name of the lady who did my makeup, as I realised after I ran out of the shop that she had never introduced herself.

I asked for a glamorous smokey look for an office Christmas party.

The first attempt I looked like I was asleep with two black eyes.

My fault as she told me I have very hooded eyes and I should have told her earlier that I didn’t like it. I had mentioned my concerns twice about how dark it was but she said she hadn’t finished yet so I trusted her to make it right.

I am also under the impression that a good makeup artist will guide and make recommendations to their clients so they leave looking and feeling better than they did when they walked in? If my eyes were that hooded and didn’t suit what she was doing why continue or do it in the first place?

The under eye and foundation was super thick and once sprayed looked like cement and as it was so thick it also looked so much darker in colour than it usually does. I look orange!

My fault again as I was told I have a lot of wrinkles under my eyes.

She then crudely pencilled in my lips completely out of shape. Wouldn’t take them off as I quote it would mean having to start again, so she trowelled on yet more concealer and tried to fix it.

That was also my fault as I had no lines to my lips!

Unreal - so I’ve got hooded eyes; lots of wrinkles under my eyes and no lines to my lips - any more compliments - laughable really!

I scurried out of the store buying my usual foundation and primer rather than lose the £50 charge for the appointment, but really I should have refused to pay and walked.

I’ve never felt so belittled and left a makeover feeling so ugly and upset. I walked back to work with my head down and couldn’t look anyone in the eye.

Needless to say the whole lot is coming off and I’ll have to redo it myself. Expensive mistake to make!

A complete waste of my time and money and incredibly disappointing.

Sorry Nars Spitalfields’s but if I could give you a minus I would.

Tamarie at your Covent Garden store is a credit toy your company she made my partner feel so good about herself would happily go back to the same store she honestly was wonderful and fantastic and that does not do her justice.

People are happy to complain when something goes wrong but I am more than happy to take the time to complete this survey

I was actually on your website to try and leave some positive feedback but could not find a place to do so I had to leave it as a complaint and make it clear that it was not actually a complaint

Rude manager - couldn’t even apologise when I had to make a 40 minute round journey to return a faulty product. When I phoned to check they had non-faulty product in stock before I made the trip & I explained my Laguna Face Palette #1 had no highlighter but an additional Laguna she said ‘I find that hard to believe’. In store Sinem (the manager) gave me the replacement with those great customer service words of ‘here you go’. I’ve been shopping here since it opened even though there are better deals online but after this nasty behaviour I won’t be back.

Absolutely wonderful service. I went to this branch with no knowledge prior on make up and how to apply the products. Fortunately, I got help from the time I entered the door. Immediately, I was given a basic rundown of what foundation and concealer would best match my skin and took me through the process step by step. The lady who helped me was Lorraine Longdon and I definitely recommend looking for her, if you want some quick guidance on what to purchase or if you’re trying to find the right match for your skin tone. Super friendly!

Friendly and helpful staff. Lighting in store could be better to help pick correct shade but staff give you a mirror to go outside and see the cosmetics in natural lighting
